As one of New York City’s initiatives to foster the accessibility of early childhood learning, the UPK program provides the opportunity for children to receive childhood education free of charge. At Little Daydreamers Learning Center 3, we invite 4-year-old children to join our full-day care and learning program for one school year as a stepping stone for kindergarten readiness. In this program, we incorporate various age-appropriate activities that propel and enhance children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development, including the furtherance of their literacy. Parents can expect the duration of our UPK program to last 6 hours and 20 minutes, with the option to avail of our Before Care or After School program (additional charges will apply).
Those who are eligible for participating in the UPK program include:
- New York City children who are born in 2019 (for the 2023 – 2024 academic year)
- Children with Disabilities
- Children who are learning English
- Children who move to NYC during the admission period
- Among others
*Please be aware that being toilet-trained is a prerequisite for a child to join this program.
The eligibility for a child to become a beneficiary of the UPK program also considers other aspects not discussed above. If your child is currently in a situation that brings you second thoughts about their eligibility, allow us to ease you off by getting in touch with us. You may leave us an online message to share your concerns and sentiments.
